Summary
These buildings are all constructed by the Hammer, each with their own pricing, size and uses. In addition, all of these buildings can be destroyed through various methods.
Some can be used for tactical advantages, while others are just for comical purposes. They are best used in different ways, so experiment with how you use these objects.
Just please don't use them to block escape routes.
Tips
- Elemental explosions and Brute smashes will do twice the damage compared to a Normal Zombie to any structure you put down.
- The Brute will also do three times the damage, in comparison to a Normal Zombie, if the club is thrown
- Use the Wide Fences for extra protection, but you will need some cash to cover the expenses.
- Blocking entrances with the Fences and Sandbags may seem like a good idea on paper, but when the going gets tough, you can't really be going anywhere. Vice versa for the people that you've left outside.
- While Fences offer real protection, an Edgar can just jump over it, and an Elemental or Brute may take it down surprisingly fast.
- You cannot build near a zombie spawn unless a Disruptor is placed on it.
- Each player can only build up to 20 buildings, shown by a small counter beside the Hammer GUI. Planks don't count, fortunately.
- Most structures can withstand 12 Normal Zombie hits.
- The Sandbags count as breakable items, so zombies can "destroy" them in one hit.
- Survivors can also destroy them with their bullets, unlike other structures.
- Sandbags can also only be destroyed from top to bottom. This means the top layers of the sandbags must be destroyed before the bottom of the sandbag is destroyed.
- Planks require three Normal Zombie hits to destroy.
- The Fence Door behaves slightly differently in that the door is independent to the fence.
- The door requires 7 Normal Zombie hits to destroy while the fence takes the standard 12 hits.
- Tombstones cannot be destroyed.
- The Sandbags count as breakable items, so zombies can "destroy" them in one hit.
- Don't use anything obstructive or abusive with Hammers, it's bannable.

- It also appears in 1930's Kingstreet, The Complex and Mogadishu Transit, but the barbed wires don't hurt anyone.
- The wire only hurt zombies when they touched the wire in the original Foxriver Prison.
- This wire no longer hurts zombies, so now it is just an aesthetic.
- Planks were originally found on every map (at the time) and Gamemode, except Free Brawl, similar to Mogadishu Transit's Planks.
- You could only build a plank if another plank was nearby.
- This technically meant that you had no limit to building planks compared to what you experience today.
- The Tombstone can be found in Pumpkinator's Bootcamp, Trick O' Threat Town and Boo's Holdout.
- When destroyed, they spawn AI Normals and sometimes Skullguards.
